One of the crucial needs of SCCM is to be able to reach a wide prospective clientele through a variety of methods. One aspect of this is our on-line presence.  The Board of Directors has contracted with Destroy the Box, a local web site design company, to rework and substantially enhance the aesthetics and functionality of our web site.  Some of the new features to be added include a Members’ Only page and an on-line application form for prospective volunteers.  The new site will be mobile- and user-friendly and will bear a new logo.  You can expect to receive an invitation to the official launch later this year.

The pervasiveness of electronic communications notwithstanding, there is sometimes no substitute for the personal touch of face-to-face engagement.  To this end, and to reinvigorate SCCM’s relationship with some of our key partners, Board Members Trevor Dymchuk and Charlie Sarnoski have made presentations to each of the 4 watches of the local RCMP.  The purpose of this is to ensure that all Officers are aware of our services and to work out any procedural issues.  We hope to build confidence and trust in our ability to support the RCMP with a valuable service for situations that call for an alternative to formal enforcement.
