Workshops

SCCM can adapt the format of our workshops to suit your group’s needs.  Are looking for a neighbourhood focus, community group focus, family focus? Tell us the specifics of the challenges and we will tailor the workshop to fit.

Workshops are typically three hours in length and can be divided into two sessions to fit your time commitments.

Some topics covered in SCCM’s workshops are:

  • Compete, Collaborate, Avoid, Accommodate, or Compromise?
What do you do in when in conflict?
  • Communication barriers, techniques and exercises
  • The Assumption Iceberg
  • Self- reflections and “know better, do better”

C is for Communication Workshop

C is for Communication, Collaboration, Confidence, Celebrate, Character, Clear, Comfortable, Community, Compassion, Connection, Cookie and Courage.

The C is for Communication workshop is for anyone experiencing communication difficulties. This three-hour workshop looks at the causes of conflict, how people respond to conflict, and how our beliefs and attitudes influence our response in conflict. The workshop will help you consider options for change, identify factors that contribute to conflict and provide communication skills focused on creating understanding.
